Tire gantry cranes, also known as rubber-tired gantry cranes, are a type of port machinery accessory. Usually, when a tire gantry crane needs to relocate, a separate power supply vehicle is required. The power cable's power receiving end is inserted into the power supply vehicle's power supply port to power the crane's traveling mechanism.

A tire gantry crane, also known as a rubber-tired gantry crane, is a type of port machinery accessory. Typically, when a tire gantry crane needs to relocate, a separate power supply vehicle is required. The power cable's power receiving end is inserted into the power supply port of the power supply vehicle to power the main trolley traveling mechanism. Simultaneously, the power supply vehicle moves with the pushing mechanism during the transition and pulls out the cable from the power supply port after the transition is complete. This power supply method requires the separate use of a power supply vehicle and driver, increasing labor intensity. In areas with cross-operational mobile machinery, there are personal safety risks for the driver; when relocating, the tire crane and power supply vehicle need to move forward in coordination, affecting relocation efficiency.

　　To improve the problems of high labor intensity and low conversion efficiency of the tire gantry crane, a port machinery accessory, in existing technologies, technical personnel in this field have proposed a new technical solution to reduce labor intensity and improve conversion efficiency. Specifically: L shaped mounting bracket and a transition cable reel. The transition cable reel includes a cable guide plate, a cable wound around the cable guide plate, a cable slip ring box set on the cable guide plate, a motor, and a gearbox connected to the motor. The cable receives power from a dedicated power outlet on the ground of one site and is introduced into the cable slip ring box, which serves as the main trolley traveling mechanism. The transition cable reel is mounted on the lower beam of the gantry crane via the L shaped mounting bracket.

　　Among them, l shaped mounting bracket includes a transverse frame and longitudinal connecting beams welded to the transverse frame. The transverse frame includes an upper plate, a lower plate parallel to the upper plate, two transverse vertical plates and two longitudinal vertical plates located between the upper and lower plates, and mounting holes on the upper plate; the longitudinal connecting beam is enclosed by a front side plate, a rear side plate, a left side plate, and a right side plate; the longitudinal connecting beam is welded to the lower beam, and screws pass through the holes on the reducer of the transition cable reel and the mounting holes to fix the transition cable reel to the L shaped mounting bracket. The lengths of the two transverse vertical plates are equal and equal to the length of the upper plate. Strengthening ribs are welded at the corners formed between the longitudinal connecting beam and the lower beam. The cross-section of the strengthening rib is triangular.

　　Compared with the existing technology, the advantages of this port machinery accessory tire gantry crane are: the transition cable reel is installed on the lower beam of the gantry crane, effectively utilizing space and improving space utilization; the transition cable reel is connected to a dedicated power outlet on the ground of one site, supplying power to the trolley traveling mechanism during the transition from one site to the second site. After the transition, the cable is removed from the dedicated power outlet and wound around the cable guide plate. No manual intervention is required during the transition, ensuring personal safety. In addition, during relocation, only the tire crane driver alone operates, improving relocation efficiency and having better adaptability.
