From January to November, Latin America imported 7 million tons of steel products from China, a decrease of 18%.

Alacero, the Latin American Steel Association, reported on December 28 that from January to November this year, China's steel product exports totaled 98.6 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1%. During the same period, Latin America imported 7 million tons of steel products from China, a year-on-year decrease of 18% (8.5 million tons in the same period of 2015), accounting for 7.1% of China's total exports. Since 2016, Latin America's imports of steel products from China have decreased for the eleventh consecutive month.
